Stefan’s work as sound designer and composer can be heard on several films by Director Christian Barbe, including Tribulation, which was selected for the Locarno film festival, and ongoing collaborations with award winning animation director Tibor Banoczki. Stefan’s writing has been published in the academic journal The Soundtrack.

Stefan received a Masters in sound post production at the prestigious National Film and Television School in England. The skills he acquired during this time include location recording, sound design, foley recording, ADR, and mixing in a dolby certified 5.1 studio on an industry standard Harrison desk. In 2007 he moved to the United States where he completed an MFA in Electronic Music and Recording Media at Mills College in Oakland, California.

Through a lifetime of musical involvement in a variety of areas, Stefan has developed a skill set that makes him equally at home performing and recording music as he is dialogue editing and creating sound design. He currently works in London with director Ilya Khrzhanovsky on The Dau Project.
